OVERVIEW

Private Pilates for Ann Arbor, Minutes From Downtown

Looking for Pilates near Ann Arbor that isn't a crowded reformer class? TrueForm Pilates is a private studio just outside the city, offering one-on-one, duet, and trio apparatus sessions, with an instructor who's actually watching your form, not managing a room of twelve. If you've tried a big studio and felt like a face in the crowd, or you want real progress instead of a workout class, this is built differently on purpose.

QUESTIONS

Before You Book

What does a Pilates class usually cost?

Group reformer classes in Ann Arbor typically run per class or by membership. TrueForm doesn't do group classes — pricing is per private, duet, or trio session, starting with a 3-session intro ($195) or a single intro session ($75).

Where can I find Pilates classes in Ann Arbor, Michigan?

Ann Arbor has several studio options, from franchise reformer classes to boutique group formats. If you'd rather train one-on-one or with a partner instead of in a group, TrueForm Pilates is a private studio just outside the city in Saline, about 15–20 minutes away.

What's the difference between a private, duet, and trio Pilates session?

Only how many people share the instructor. A private is 1:1 — 50 minutes built entirely around you and adjusted session to session. A duet is 2:1, the same hands-on teaching shared with a partner or a friend. A trio is 3:1, three people moving together while still being coached individually. All three run on the full apparatus, and none of them is a drop-in group class.

What should I expect from my first session at TrueForm Pilates?

Your first session is a private one. We look at how you move, talk through your history and your goals, and introduce you to the apparatus — reformer, Cadillac/tower, ladder barrel — at whatever pace makes sense for your body. No experience needed, and you won't be following along from the back of a room. After that we build a program around you. Most people start with the 3-session intro ($195) or a single intro session ($75).

WHO YOU TRAIN WITH

CARLY
JAKUBOWSKI

Owner-instructor, True Form Pilates

True Form is owner-operated. You train with the person whose name is on the studio, not whichever instructor the schedule assigned that week.

Every session here is private, duet, or trio, on the full classical apparatus. That means someone is watching how you move and adjusting the work to your body, session to session, instead of running a room of twelve through the same routine.
