BOOK A SESSION ↗ROOTED IN METHOD. FOCUSED ON THE HUMAN.
YES,
SHE’S COUNTING.
Classically trained, formally taught, and never afraid to bend the rules when the body in front of her calls for it.
THE METHOD,
AND WHY
TRUE FORM
True Form is rooted in the classical Pilates method, but no two bodies speak the same language. I teach the system with intention while integrating contemporary movement in order to meet the person in front of me.
Using Gratz equipment and the full classical apparatus, along with years of personal training experience, I put the entire system to work. Every spring, strap, pedal, and slightly intimidating contraption has a job to do. Together, they create a practice designed to build strength, flexibility, control, and balance, without wasting your time on movement for movement’s sake. You're going to be taught, not just put through a workout.
At True Form, I respect the method enough to use it intelligently. The work is precise, the teaching is personal, and the practice keeps evolving as your body does.
MEET CARLY
The method is the foundation. Your body writes the plan. Get ready to work.Carly has been professionally asking people to move, and then casually adding “just one more rep” since 2007. She started as a barre instructor before joining Core Sport (Plymouth, Michigan), in 2010, where Pilates went from “this is interesting” to a full-blown obsession.
Since then, Carly has completed comprehensive teacher training through the Pure Body Teacher Training program (aka Rebel Pilates Collective) and extensive mentorships with some of the industry’s best, including Kristin Schley, Benjamin Degenhardt, and Jaime White. She knows the classical Pilates system inside and out, but she understands bodies aren’t copy-and-paste. Her teaching blends technical precision, real-world problem-solving, and a sharp eye that will catch your form slipping, even when you’re hoping she’s looking somewhere else.
Carly is also a NASM Certified Personal Trainer, Certified Sports Nutrition Coach, and Performance Enhancement Specialist, where she integrates this knowledge into her teaching.
When she isn’t teaching, Carly is usually doing her own workout, traveling with her husband, spending time with family and friends, and loving her dog, Betty Davis, who has completed no formal training and remains completely unimpressed by Carly’s credentials.
